Hi, my name is George Lucas owner/operator of G&L Metal Polishing.
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to you as well as introduce you to G&L Metal Polishing. I have always had a love for classic cars, especially
62-67 Novas. |
 |
Back in 1987, while working on my 1966 Nova, was my first attempt at repairing used parts. I noticed that the headlight bezels were dented. At that time I thought nothing of it to take them off and toss them in the garbage.
Since my brother Rich is a professional body man, he pulled them out of the garbage and we decided to try and fix the dents! After about a year or so working on our parts, developing a technique of working with different type of metals, using heat as an advantage, I started to develop some tremendous results. After seeing some of the polishing work that was already offered out there and comparing my work to the competition's, I made my decision to run an ad in "Nova Times", then
"Hemmings", and offer my services. Ever since that first ad 14 years ago I've been experimenting and "fine tuning" the art of metal polishing. |
 |
G&L has helped our customers from coast to coast restore their cars, cycles and boats. I might not have the biggest shop on the planet; as a matter of fact I might have the smallest! My only goal is to be the best and if you were able to talk to our customers and see my work, you'll find no one can provide you with a higher quality restoration of your aluminum and stainless parts than G&L.
If this is your first inquiry about my services, I thank you for your interest and hope to hear from you soon. To all my customers, past and present, thank you. I appreciate your business.
Sincerely
George Lucas

| G&L Metal Polishing is known nationwide for its outstanding work. Our dent removal on aluminum and stainless is rated second to none. To insure quality control, I do all the work myself from start to finish. After I receive your part and/or parts, I’ll give you a call and let you know whether I can make your parts near perfect or not. If not the only thing that can be done is "the best I can" which usually is better than the competitions best work. Remember, I'm working with 30-40 year old aluminum. I can only do so much with pitting and corrosion. On pitted aluminum I start with 80 grit sandpaper and continue down to 320 grit. I treat your parts as if they were mine. They leave my shop only after I feel you'll be satisfied. Your parts also get detailed. By that I mean if your part requires paint work, I'll mask off and paint where necessary. So, your parts come back ready to "bolt on". |
